An information providing method using an MMS message is provided to offer news, a lottery ticket, a commercial, and other information by using the empty space of an MMS message text area so that a service user can receive necessary information free or at low cost. An information providing method using an MMS(Multimedia Messaging Service) message comprises the following steps of: receiving the MMS message by an MMSC(Multimedia Messaging Service Center) server(S210); converting the received MMS message to be suitable for a receiving terminal(S220); checking the size of the empty space of an MMS message text area(S230); extracting information capable of filling the empty space from a DB(Database) when there is an empty space in the text area(S240); reorganizing the MMS message by adding the extracted information to the MMS message(S250); and transmitting the reorganized MMS message to a receiver(S260).
