<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording method and an optical information recording and regeneration method which enable the recording and regenerating of information with a laser beam of a wavelength of 450 nm or less with high density. <P>SOLUTION: A recording layer includes a phthalocyanine pigment shown by a general formula (I).
