PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device and a navigation method for vehicles, capable of guiding to a parking lot preferable to a user considering scheduled parking continuation time or the end of parking time. SOLUTION: The navigation system for vehicle comprises the map data acquisition means for acquiring map data including parking lot information; the parking time setting means for setting the predetermined parking continuation time; the parking lot retrieving means for retrieving a parking lot, capable of parking and/or leaving the lot based on the map data and the predetermined parking continuing time; and the parking guidance means for guiding the retrieved parking lot.
