A method for detecting an error of a power steering is provided to detect errors such as a wiring open, a short-high and a short-low, which are generated between a power steering pressure sensor and an engine control unit, by using a vehicle turning signal transmitted from an ABS(anti-lock brake system). In a method for detecting an error of a power steering, an engine operation is confirmed through an engine control unit(10). When a turning signal is generated from an ABS control unit(30) according to the turning of a vehicle, a signal received from the ABS control unit(30) through the engine control unit(10) is determined whether or not the signal is the turning signal. Then, the turning signal is compared with a sensor signal. An error of at least one of a power steering pressure sensor(20) and a wiring is detected based on the comparison result.
