A method for forming a spline on an inner diameter portion of a hollow shaft is provided to make it possible to form a spline on an inner side of an extrusion workpiece by performing one pressing process and one extruding process on the same axial line. A method for forming a spline on an inner diameter portion of a hollow shaft comprises: an extrusion workpiece preparing process(S10) of mounting an extrusion tool on an end of a support rod and inserting an extrusion workpiece onto the extrusion tool; an extrusion workpiece forming process(S20) of extruding the extrusion workpiece by fixing the support rod at a predetermined position and moving the pressing rod forward after charging the extrusion workpiece into an extrusion molding part by moving forward a pressing rod and a slider through the operation of a pressing cylinder; an extrusion workpiece extracting process(S30) of moving the pressing rod backward to move the support rod backward and moving an ejector rod forward to extract the extrusion workpiece to the outside of the extrusion mold part; and an extrusion workpiece stripping process(S40) of separating the extrusion workpiece from the extraction tool after spacing apart ends of the extrusion tool and an extraction tool from each other by successively moving the support rod backward in a state that a position of the ejector rod is fixed.
