METHOD FOR CONTROLLING HIGH SPEED SPINDLE SERVO

A method for controlling high speed spindle servo is provided to double recording and reproducing speed of an optical disk by rotating the optical disk and an optical pickup in opposite directions. A method for controlling high speed spindle servo includes the steps of: rotating an optical disk loaded in an optical disk apparatus in a first direction; and rotating an optical pickup(201) in a second direction which is reverse to the first direction. The optical pickup rotates in the second direction with a help from a shaft(204) and a pickup rotation axis(203). The pickup rotation axis is installed in the inner periphery of the optical pickup. The shaft rotates at high speed along a rotary rail(200) configured to the outer periphery of the optical pickup.
