A refrigerator having a variable vegetable box is provided to separate a vegetable box into upper and lower vegetable boxes to control height of the vegetable box to make efficient use of a space of a vegetable compartment in accordance with stored food. A fixed vegetable box(110) has a containing space with an upper part open, in a partial space of a refrigerator storing compartment, capable of being drawn out to a front of a refrigerator. A variable vegetable box(120) is formed in a shape same as the fixed vegetable box with upper and lower parts open, to be inserted into the fixed vegetable box closely, sliding over the fixed vegetable box up and down. A shelf type vegetable box cover(140) is formed on the variable vegetable box, having a lower side combined with the variable vegetable box to cover the variable vegetable box and an upper side for containing goods. A plurality of grooves(130) are formed separately in a horizontal direction in the refrigerator to insert both ends of the shelf type vegetable box cover. |
