KNITTING METHOD OF TUBULAR KNITTED FABRIC

A knitting method of an easy-to-wear knitted tubular fabric which gives little stretching feeling and exhibits high fitness upon wearing and is formed by joining at least three tubular portions. Knitting is performed using a weft knitting machine having a pair of front and rear needle beds at least one of which can rack to the right and left and capable of transferring a stitch between the front and rear needle beds. An operation for joining two tubular portions at the boundary of front and rear fabrics to form one tubular portion is repeated to join tubular portions. The boundary is set such that the length of the front fabric in the knitting width direction is different from that of the rear fabric immediately before joining for at least one tubular portion. For such a tubular portion as having different lengths of the front and rear fabrics in the knitting width direction and the boundary on the joining side not located between the front and rear needle beds, the tubular portion is rotated such that the boundary is located between the front and rear needle beds and two adjacent tubular portions having the boundaries opposing between the needle beds are joined while holding the boundary between them.
