A transflective LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to omit an overcoat layer forming process by forming first and second control electrodes and applying different control voltages to the first and second control electrodes to have a liquid crystal phase difference corresponding to a reflective part and a transparent part. A thin film transistor includes a gate electrode on a first substrate. A first control electrode(102a) and a second control electrode(120b) are formed on the same layer as the gate electrode of the thin film transistor, a first control voltage is applied to the first control electrode, and a second control voltage different from the first control voltage is applied. A first pixel electrode(110a) is formed on the first substrate including the first control electrode. A second pixel electrode(110b) is formed on the first substrate including the second control electrode. A common electrode(134) is formed on a second substrate(131). A liquid crystal layer(150) is interposed between the first and second substrates. The first substrate is a thin film transistor array substrate(100). |
