A system and a method for providing moving image contents are provided to offer moving picture contents requested by a user and various kinds of contents information related to the requested contents hierarchically, and enable the user and a moving picture CP(Content Provider) to make/edit the contents and the contents information while displaying scene information of the contents stored in a moving picture service server. An input tool(101) inputs/edits the moving picture contents and various kinds of contents related to a moving picture. The moving picture contents service server(103) includes a moving picture contents provider(104) storing the moving picture contents information received from the CP through the input tool and providing the contents requested from the user, a source provider(105) providing source data needed for making the contents in the input tool, a database(107), and a database searcher(106) searching the contents requested from the user in the database. A player(102) receives the moving picture contents corresponding to the requested information in a state when the searched moving picture contents are received from the moving picture contents service server and composes/displays the received contents to each position of a screen.
