Bluetooth transmission device for hearing aids and corresponding transmission method

The device has a transmission unit (13) for transmission of audio data into a Bluetooth signal, and a hearing aid coder (14) integrated into the unit for compression of the audio data before transmission. A code conversion is not executed in a relay station (16) during the transformation. The transmission unit transmits the signal according to an Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) protocol, and the coder scans as a A2DP coder, where the coder has a scanning rate that is less than a standard Bluetooth coder. An independent claim is also included for a method for transmission of audio data to a hearing device.
