An apparatus for preventing bending of a coolant pipe is provided to prevent defects caused by scratches on surface of a work roll and to improve productivity and quality and reduce time required for replacing the coolant pipe as well. An apparatus for preventing a coolant pipe on a rolling mill from being bent includes a set of work rolls, chokes(4) on each side of a work roll, a beam(3) for connecting chokes, a coolant pipe(7b) on a side of the beam, a cooling water supply line(6) arranged to connect to the coolant pipe, and a pipe assembly placed in between the cooling water supply line and the coolant pipe to absorb the extension of pipe due to heat.
