摘要 A remote controller capable of measuring a pulse rate is provided to receive infrared rays reflected from the finger of a user to measure the pulse rate of the user and display the measured pulse rate to the user, so that the user can determine conveniently a health status in the home. A light emitting unit(10) is installed in the lower part of a contact part(90) being in contact with the finger of a user to emit infrared rays. A light receiving unit(20) receives the infrared rays which are emitted from the light emitting unit and are reflected from the finger and outputs a signal of current components according to the amount of the infrared rays. An I-V converting unit(30) converts the signal of the current components outputted from the light receiving unit into a signal of voltage components. An amplifying unit(40) amplifies the signal of the voltage components. A filtering unit(50) removes noise from a signal amplified from the amplifying unit. A comparing unit(60) compares the signal of the voltage components with a preset reference level to output a square wave according to size between the signal of the voltage components and the preset reference level. A microcomputer(70) calculates the frequency of the square wave per minute to display the frequency of the square wave per minute.
