PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lift type dryer capable of being easily set in a narrow space in a factory without largely remodeling an existing production line. SOLUTION: The lift type dryer 1 comprises a drying furnace 2 with one opening 22 formed on a wall member 21 on the front for letting articles pass; a shelf body 3 supported inside the drying furnace 2 in such a way as can be lifted; a lifting means 4 for lifting the shelf body 3; a hot-air feeding means for feeding hot air into the drying furnace 2; a conveying means 6 for conveying articles outside the drying furnace 2; and a transfer means 7 for conveying articles into the shelf body 3 from outside the drying furnace 2 or to the outside of the drying furnace 2 from the shelf body 3.
