PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of utilizing an access management system such as the AACS, for protecting highly confidential data recorded on write-once media. SOLUTION: A recording method disclosed herein includes: steps ST 300 to ST 306 of generating Title Keys (or Kt) by the number corresponding to the number of rules in a Usage Rule File in the case of creating a Title Key File for encryption by the AACS; and a step ST 308 of writing the Title Keys generated in this way to the Title Key File. Contents are encrypted by properly using the Title Keys written in the Title Key File and the encrypted contents are recorded on the write-once media. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
