PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid valve for controlling opening/closing of a fluid passage, smooth in valve opening operation even under the condition of high water pressure while ensuring miniaturization and energy saving of the solenoid valve. SOLUTION: The solenoid valve 16 comprises an annular valve seat 12 projected in an axis direction; a plunger valve element 18 formed of a movable iron core provided movably between a valve closing position and a valve opening position; and an electromagnetic coil 36 attracting the plunger valve element 18 by electromagnetic attracting force, wherein stopper protrusions 46 lower in protruding height than the valve seat 12 to abut on packing 24 to perform stopper action when the plunger valve element 18 is closed, is provided on the valve seat 12 side, in outer peripheral side positions rather than the valve seat 12.
