<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and a method of driving the display device, which are applied to a display device using a current drive type light emitting element such as an organic EL element, and in which the luminance of the time modulation type display device using the current drive type light emitting element is adjusted by preventing a gradation drop. <P>SOLUTION: Each pixel has an organic EL element 4 which is the current drive type light emitting element, a constant current circuit 13 which outputs a driving current for the element 4, and a driving transistor Tr1 which drives the element with the driving current of the constant current circuit 13 on a time modulation basis, and the display device has a luminance adjusting circuit which sets driving currents of all pixels provided at a display section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
