PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-tensile steel sheet having a tensile strength of 1180 MPa or higher while securing excellent resistance weldability for sufficient and stable joint strength of a weld zone by resistance welding, and to provide a joining process for the high-tensile steel sheet. SOLUTION: The high-tensile steel sheet comprises, by mass, 0.15 to 0.25% of C, 0.1 to 2.5% of Si, 0.10 to 1.0% of Mn and 0.5 to 3.5% of Cr, and satisfies a content ratio of Mn/(Mn+Cr)<0.50. Preferably, P and S as impurity components are suppressed to, by mass,≤0.02% and≤0.01%, respectively, and further, 0.1 to 3.0% of Ni, 0.01 to 3.0% of Cu and 0.001 to 0.1% of Al are added thereto.
