FIELD: rocketry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in designing of expandable nozzles for solid-propellant rocket engines and liquid propellant rocket engines. Proposed expandable nozzle for rocket engine has bell mouth, one or several shift heads, head alignment mechanism, cylindrical envelope inside each head shield fitted at cut of envelope pointed inside nozzle flow passage duct. Shield is ring-shaped, being installed and rigidly secured so that through slots are formed between shield and cut of cylindrical envelope. ^ EFFECT: simplified design, reduced number of used parts, thus improving reliability of expandable nozzle in operation. ^ 3 dwg |
