PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the throughput of a data packet to be transmitted satisfactory by effectively utilizing buffer memory capacity for temporarily storing packet data having priority. SOLUTION: A packet data transmission method is used, which comprises the steps of: storing packet data into a first storing means; storing an address number of the packet data stored in the first storing means into a plurality of second storing means provided in accordance with priorities in accordance with the priority of the packet data; and reading from the first storing means the packet data corresponding to the address number stored in the plurality of second storing means on the basis of the number of addresses stored in the respective second storing means and the frame size of packet data to be transmitted and generating and outputting a frame.
