<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marking method for an electric cable capable of drastically improving traveling speed of the electric cable to be marked, preventing marking failure and improving a product yield. <P>SOLUTION: In this marking method for the electric cable 26, a marking roller 25 having an outer peripheral face on which a stamp part is projectingly provided and rotated integrally with a drive shaft 23 and a press roller 28 for pressing the electric cable 26 against the stamp part are provided, and marking is continuously performed on the outer periphery of the traveling electric cable 26 by transferring ink of the stamp part of the rotating marking roller 25 to a contact face of the electric cable 26.
