PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a falling prevention device preventing the falling of a shutter curtain by detecting sagging of an endless chain running between a driving sprocket and a driven sprocket. SOLUTION: The falling preventive device 9 is structured by a detecting portion 13 oppressively abutting on the endless chain 8 running between the driving sprocket 6e on an opening/closing machine 6 side and the driven sprocket 2c on a winding drum 2, and a rotating element composed of main and sub arms 11, 12 formed with a hook portion 14d regulating rotations of the winding drum 2 on the basis of position change of the detecting portion 13. The detecting portion 13 is made to oppressively abut on a tension side chain 8a of the chain 8 running in a ring shape between the driving sprocket 6e and the driven sprocket 2c, from an inner side to an outer side.
