PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect and use a multifunctional device whose behavior is not impaired by temporary shutdown of electric power supply. SOLUTION: This method of connecting a multifunctional device 6 to a computer 2 is provided with a transmission step for transmitting a device identifier ID to the computer by the device, an execution step for executing a driver DRVID of the device related to the device identifier by the computer, an acquisition step for acquiring a list of functions FCTLIST of the device by the computer, an execution step for executing drivers DRVVFN1, DRVFN2 related to the functions described in the list on the computer by the driver of the device, and a management step for managing a data stream between the various functions of the device and the corresponding function drivers by the driver of the device.
