PROFESSOR SOSIN'S METHOD FOR EXPERT DIAGNOSTIC IDENTIFICATION OF FUNCTIONAL STATE OF ACCURATENESS OF VISUAL ESTIMATION IN PATIENTS DEPENDENT ON PSYCHOACTIVE SUBSTANCES

A method for expert diagnostic identification of the functional state of the accurateness of visual estimation in the patients dependent on the psychoactive substances provides for the use of the experimental assays of the abilities to assess approximately (by eye) the spatial relationships and the dimensions. The accuracy for estimating the letters-symbols of the continuous computer printing with different odd numbers of the letters in each line is assayed. The state of the accurateness of visual estimation is assessed by the number of computer letters-symbols with the deviations from the central target letter (as the percentage relative to the total number of letters-symbols in each line). The total percentage of the deviated symbols not exceeding 10% is indicative of the excellent visual estimation. The total percentage of the deviatedsymbols within 11-30% range is indicative of the good visual estimation, 31-60% - satisfactory visual estimation. When the total percentage of the deviated symbols exceeds 61%, the visual estimation is unsatisfactory (or practically lacking).
