摘要 A method for recording on a recording medium by discharging a non-aqueous ink containing a non-aqueous solvent and a pigment by an inkjet system. The method contains a step of preparing recording paper having a thickness exceeding 0.083 mm as a recording medium, a step of obtaining a volume V<SUB>m </SUB>and a thickness T<SUB>m </SUB>of the recording paper, a step of obtaining a volume V<SUB>s </SUB>of a solvent that is capable of being retained by the recording paper by using a solvent having a vapor pressure at 25° C. of 0.001 mmHg or less and a specific gravity of from 0.800 to 1.200, a step of obtaining a solvent absorptivity A<SUB>sl. </SUB>(%) of the recording paper by the following equation (1): <?in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?>A<SUB>sl.</SUB>=(V<SUB>s</SUB>/V<SUB>m</SUB>)x100 (1)<?in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?> a step of obtaining an allowable ink amount V<SUB>I </SUB>(pl/m<SUP>2</SUP>) per unit area of the recording paper by the following equation (2): <?in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?>V<SUB>I</SUB>=(T<SUB>m</SUB>-0.083)xA<SUB>sl.</SUB>x10<SUP>12</SUP> (2)<?in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?> and a step of discharging the non-aqueous ink in an amount V<SUB>d </SUB>(pl/m<SUP>2</SUP>) satisfying the following equation (3) by an inkjet system: <?in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?>V<SUB>d</SUB><=V<SUB>I</SUB>.
