A lightning arrester is provided to reduce the danger of lightning by discharging space charges in the air and ground charges in the ground previously in case of the approach of a thundercloud. A lightning arrester includes a conductive rod(30), an insulator(34), a charge tube, and a plurality of charge pins(80). The rod is installed at the upper end of an object protected from a thundercloud, and is connected to a ground device. The insulator is coupled with one end of the rod. The charge tube has the shape of a cylinder with tips, and charges with the opposite polarity to ground charges are charged. The plurality of charge pins are located at the upper part of the charge tube, and space charges in the air are charged. |
