Provided herein is a method for the treatment of a wound using a wound tr eatment regimes for treating a chronic wound, the regimen comprising; a) app lying reduced pressure to the wound; and b) treating the wound with a substa ntially non-toxic, non-irritating organic or inorganic aganocide composition while applying reduced pressure to the wound.
