<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller that improves the detection accuracy of the speed of a driven body and controls a driving means stably and its control method. <P>SOLUTION: An encoder signal control device 25 compares the length of times between a rising timer time counted by a rising edge interval counting portion 38 and the rising period of the latest rising edge stored in a rising edge interval history portion 39. A value whichever longer of the rising timer time or the rising period is outputted as a result of the comparison, so that the cycle of a pulse signal 36 is forecast highly accurately and can be made close to a real time. Based on the cycle of the pulse signal 36 outputted highly accurately, the speed of the driven body can be calculated with high accuracy, the detection accuracy of the speed of the driven body can be improved, and the driving means can stably be controlled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
