PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter which can be prevented from being erroneously turned on/off due to a voltage change dV/dt between earths of upper and lower arms, and is high in reliability, in the power converter having a level shift circuit for transmitting a signal to a high-potential side from low potential. SOLUTION: In the power converter having at least one arm composed of first and second switching elements which are connected in series between main terminals, and the level shift circuit for transmitting a control signal to a high-voltage side circuit from a low-voltage side circuit, there is arranged two detection voltage levels at the set side of the level shift circuit.
