<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidifier capable of satisfactorily humidifying gas to be humidified and effectively suppressing its pressure fluctuation. <P>SOLUTION: A gas-water permeable humidifying guide member 7 is held in a humidifying container 8 filled with humidifying liquid. A humidifying pipe 6 is held in the humidifying guide member 7. The gas 12 to be humidified is jetted into the humidifying guide member 7 from gas jet pores of the humidifying pipe 6. Intense foaming is suppressed by the damper action of the humidifying guide member, and a part below the liquid level of the humidifying guide member is degraded in gas permeability to attain excellent humidification.
