PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a home electric appliance storage cabinet capable of preventing a shutter from being closed when a home electric appliance is used by a simple structure. SOLUTION: The home electric appliance storage cabinet 10 comprises shelves A whose front sides are open, for storing home electric appliances; power outlets 19a and 19b provided inside the shelves for power feeding; and the shutter 16 which can close the opened front sides of the shelves. The home electric appliance storage cabinet 10 also has a home electric appliance use detecting means for detecting the use of the home electric appliances connected to the power outlets 19a and 19b, a driving means 16d for opening/closing the shutter, and a control means 22 for operating the driving means to open the shutter when the home electric appliance use detecting means detects the use of the home electric appliances.
