Ribs (20,20') attach with fastening devices (21) to a trough gutter body's (10) upper edges (12,12') made from plastic. In a contact area with these upper edges, the ribs have a profiled structure with a height between 0.1 and 0.5 mm, which is pressed into these upper edges so as to make a positive-fit connection between the ribs and the trough gutter body. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) A method for producing a drainage channel; (2) A rib for fastening on an upper edge of a thermoplastic drainage channel.
