PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor capable of reducing suction pulsation, reducing housing weight, and reducing the size and weight of the compressor, while eliminating adverse influence on the bearing service life by heat of a bearing supporting a large diameter shaft part of a crankshaft. SOLUTION: This scroll compressor has a housing 3, a scroll compression mechanism 29 stored and arranged in the housing 3, and the crankshaft 11 rotatably supported around the axis in the housing 3 via the bearing 13; and compresses gas by moving a compression space 31 to a central position while reducing its volume from an outer peripheral position, by revolving, turning and driving a turning scroll member 29 to a fixed scroll member 27 by rotation of the crankshaft 11. A recessed part 55 extending in the axial direction on the outer peripheral side of a bearing storage part 5E, is arranged on an end surface facing a suction chamber 51 on the outer peripheral side more than the bearing storage part 5E of the housing 3 for arranging the bearing 13.
