PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric composition for a plasma display panel as well as a plasma display panel using the same capable of enhancing cost competition of the plasma display panel by a low unit price without fear of environmental pollution because of Pb not contained, and at the same time, a dielectric composition for a plasma display panel and a plasma display panel using the same capable of being manufactured at low baking temperature for the sake of prevention of thermal deformation of a substrate. SOLUTION: The dielectric composition for the plasma display panel is structured by containing 15 to 60 wt.% of ZnO, 10 to 50 wt.% of B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 0 to 10.0 wt.% of Li<SB>2</SB>O, and 2 to 20 wt.% of RO.
