PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring device for measuring performance of an ion generator, capable of measuring easily the performance of the ion generator noncontactly therewith, without affected greatly by disturbance due to a peripheral environment such as an electric field, humidity and dust in its periphery, allowing precise measurement, and capable of regulating sensitivity easily. SOLUTION: This measuring device comprises a measuring instrument A with a surface potential sensor 3 built in a main body case 1, and a display B connected thereto by a cable C. An external charge electrode 11 is arranged in an outside of the main body case 1. An internal charge electrode 10 impressed with a high voltage is disposed in an inside thereof to be opposed to the surface potential sensor 3, and the external charge electrode 11 is electrically connected to the internal charge electrode 10 by a conductive member penetrating the main body case of the measuring instrument from the outside to the inside.
