<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a liquid crystal device with which display is conducted on both front and rear surfaces, with reduced thickness. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal device is equipped with: a substrate 3a and a substrate 4a placed opposite to each other; a liquid crystal layer 7 disposed between the substrate 3a and the substrate 4a; a light reflection film 14B which is arranged selectively on the liquid crystal layer 7 side of the substrate 3a and reflects light L1 incident from the substrate 4a side; a light reflection film 14A which is arranged selectively on the liquid crystal layer 7 side of the substrate 4a corresponding to a region D1 of the substrate 3a, on which no light reflection film 14B is arranged, and reflects light L0 incident from the substrate 3a side; a belt shaped electrode 33A which is arranged selectively on the region D1, on which no light reflection film 14B is arranged, of the liquid crystal layer 7 side of the substrate 3a; and a belt shaped electrode 33B which is arranged selectively on a region D2, on which no light reflection film 14A is arranged, of the liquid crystal layer 7 side of the substrate 4a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
