<p>The present invention provides an illumination system and projection system using the same. The present invention can eliminate the reflective light on the internal optical surface of the optical system (704), using the phase plate (802), and linear polarizer (803), in the color sequential driving of illumination at least two colors on the single display panel (706) at a random moment. The phase plate converts the incident light from a linearly polarized light to a circularly polarized light, and vice versa . And, the linear polarizer transmits the linearly polarized light of the incident light in the specific direction.
