A backlight assembly and an LCD using the same are provided to simplify the structure of the LCD and improve assemblability by optimizing a connection structure between the electrode terminal of lamp's end parts and an inverter PCB(Printed Circuit Board). A backlight assembly includes a bottom cover(110), plural lamps(120), and a common electrode(160). The bottom cover has a hole(111) formed in the lower side of the inside. The lamps are set in the inside of the bottom cover to supply light. The common electrode is joined in the inside of the bottom cover, connects end parts of the lamps, and has a fastening projection(164) projected to the outside of the bottom cover through the hole. |
