A plasma display apparatus and a driving method thereof are provided to enhance image quality by adjusting sustain time of reset pulses, which are sustained at a voltage level, during a reset period. A plasma display apparatus includes a plasma display panel(1) and first, second, and third drivers. The plasma display panel includes first and second electrodes, and third electrodes formed to cross with the first and second electrodes. The first, second, and third drivers operate the first, second, and third electrodes, respectively. The second driver includes a pulse generator(7) and a sustain time set circuit(5). The pulse generator generates a pulse, which is increased with a slope according to elapsed time during a reset period. The sustain time set circuit adjusts the sustain time of reset pulses, which are maintained at a voltage level, during a reset period in at least two subfields. |
