The arm (2) has a main spring arrangement (10) operating between a bearing part (3) and a hinge part (6) and generating a moment of the arm. An additional spring arrangement is designed as a compensation or balance spring arrangement (14). The additional spring arrangement generates the moment against another moment around an axis of a wiper arm hinge (8) such that a moment resulting from the two moments is independent of a fall/rise (F/R) angle within an F/R angular area.
