PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pilot signal detection method of a distortion compensation amplifier, for detecting a pilot signal without an error and the need for a complicated circuit even when a frequency of a pilot signal is set not apart from a frequency of a main amplifier signal. SOLUTION: In the pilot signal detection method of the distortion compensation amplifier, the distortion compensation amplifier amplifying an input signal (I) and outputting a resulting signal by eliminating a distortion component (N) generated by main amplifiers (3a, 3b), uses as a reference signal (B), a signal resulting from distributing the input signal (I), uses as a comparison signal (C), a signal resulting from distributing a signal (O) to be output and for detecting the pilot signal (P) for monitoring a compensation amount, and suppresses a main amplifier signal component (M) in the comparison signal (C) by utilizing the reference signal (B) to interference to the pilot signal (P).
