<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide tracking characteristics of a reception device in an M-ary communication system. <P>SOLUTION: The reception device 200 includes a data reception correlation unit 14 for data estimation, and a front correlation unit 18 and a rear correlation unit 19 for synchronism control, and each of the correlation units includes M pieces of correlators (M is an integer of ≥2). A maximum value detecting unit 15 specifies a maximum value among M pieces of correlation values obtained by the data reception correlation unit 14. A selector 20b and a selector 20c select a correlation value corresponding to the maximum value out of correlation values output by the front correlation unit 18 and rear correlation unit 19 and output the selected correlation value to a synchronism control unit 25 through gates 30b and 30c. A decision unit 16 turns off the gates 30b and 30c when the M pieces of correlation values obtained by the data reception correlation unit 14 are all equal to or less than a threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
