PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication method and a wireless communication apparatus which reduce circuit scale required for gain control and the increase of processing load in wireless communications using a multicarrier modulation method. SOLUTION: The communication method is used for the wireless communication apparatus which communicates with a plurality of other apparatuses using a signal provided with a frame structure that a resource area is assigned for each of the other apparatuses in the multicarrier modulation method, and the resource area has a plurality of sub resource areas that are divided into time zones. The wireless communication apparatus has a step for acquiring communication quality between the other apparatuses and itself, a step for assigning resource areas to be used by the other apparatuses within the sub resource areas corresponding to the communication quality, and a step for amplifying the signal with a gain different for each of the sub resource areas.
