<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting unit in which, in the case of an organic EL light emitting unit having a large area also, a malfunctioning light emitting unit can be readily replaced and repaired. <P>SOLUTION: In the light emitting unit 1, a plurality of light emitting segments 5 are electrically connected to each other across an EL light emitting layer 4 at an anode 2 and a cathode 3 by a connection conductor. These light emitting segments 5 comprise a support 8; and the support 8 comprises a recess 8a, a protrusion 8b, and connections 6a, 7a and 6b, 7b for the connection conductor. In the anode 2 and the cathode 3 of these light emitting segments 5, the protrusion 8b is fitted into the recess 8a so that the plurality of light emitting segments 5 are electrically connected to each other by the connection conductor 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
