<p>A simple-structure pressurized tank for intermittently feeding powder to a transportation pipe, and a method of determining an interval at which to feed powder to a transportation pipe. The pressurized tank, which is used for a device for intermittently feeding a specified amount of powder to a transportation pipe (7), comprises a tank body (6a) forming a pressure container structure and having a charging port (3) in the upper wall and a discharging port (4) in the lower wall, a first check valve (3) disposed directly below the charging port in the tank body (6a) so as to freely move vertically and raised by compressed air to be able to close the charging port, and a second check valve (10) disposed directly below the discharging port (4) in the tank body (6a) so as to freely move vertically and raised by compressed air to be able to close the discharging port (4). A method of determining an interval at which to feed powder to a transportation pipe comprises the step of measuring time required for pushing out powder from a pressurized tank to a transportation pipe (7) or pressure loss caused by supplied compressed air at the transportation pipe such that pressure loss of compressed air matches the pressure of supplied compressed air.</p> |
