<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new external preparation effective for preventing the aging of the skin, keeping the skin to a healthy state and further exhibiting sufficient effect to ameliorate the drying of the skin and various skin diseases by lowering the oxidation potential of the skin surface. <P>SOLUTION: The external preparation contains one or more substances selected from each of the plant extracts shown in (A) and substances shown in (B) and has an oxidation-reduction potential of ≤200 mV in a pH range of 4.5-11.0. (A) Portulaca, semi-fermented tea, Rhodiola euryphylla, Magnolia obovata, fennel, Citrus unshiu, Zizyphus jujube, Coix lacryma-jobi, Lycium chinense and Magnolia liliflora; (B) uronic acid-containing polysaccharides having an average molecular weight of 1,000-10,000 and their derivatives. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
