摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out chromaticity adjustment of illumination light irradiated on an optical element of a liquid crystal panel or the like by a backlight device. <P>SOLUTION: A light guide plate 3 is provided at a rear face of the liquid crystal panel (an optical element) 2, a light source 5 receiving incident light is provided at a side end of the light guide plate 3, and a reflecting plate 4 is provided at a rear-face side of the light guide plate 3. On an opposite face of the reflecting plate 4 opposed to the light guide plate 3, dot patterns with color, size, and density adjusted are printed in disperse, and a part where dot patterns are not formed is to be a total-reflection face. In such a structure, light incident from the light source 5 into the light guide plate 3 is made diffused, and further, light irradiated toward a rear-face side of the light guide plate 3 is made reflected by the dot patterns P formed at the reflecting plate after wavelength selection, and at the same time, made reflected at the total-reflection face where the dot patterns are not formed to reenter into the light guide plate 3 to be diffused. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
