摘要 <p>It is possible to provide a fluorescent lamp operation device capable of increasing the possible number of ON/OFF times to 20,000 times or more in a 3-minute cycle (ON for 10 seconds and OFF for 2 minutes and 50 seconds) service life test. The fluorescent lamp operation device includes a start capacitor (5b) connected in parallel to the non-power supply side of a bulb type fluorescent lamp (5a), a positive-characteristic thermistor (5d) connected in parallel to the start capacitor (5b), and a resonance capacitor (5e) connected in parallel to the power supply side of the bulb type fluorescent lamp (5a). The capacitance values of the start capacitor (5b) and the resonance capacitor (5e) and the characteristic of the positive-characteristic thermistor (5d) are set so that a resistance ratio Rh/Rc is 3 to 5 when the preheating time of the filaments (Fa, Fb) upon start of the bulb type fluorescent lamp (5a) is 0.6 to 0.8 seconds, the cold resistance value of the filaments (Fa, Fb) is Rc, and the resistance value after the preheating is Rh.</p>
