Provided is a heating cooker, in which a cooking space (20) includes a protruding portion (100) formed on the ceiling side of the cooking space (20) and having a slope (100b) inclined with respect to the ceiling face. Superheated steam from a steam heating device (50) is sprayed from a plurality of first ceiling steam spraying holes (101) formed in the flat face (100a) of the protruding portion (100), toward the bottom face in the cooking space (20), and is sprayed from a plurality of second ceiling steam spraying holes (102) formed in the slope (100b) of the protruding portion (100), toward the side face in the cooking space (20). The supercharged steam, which is sprayed from the first ceiling steam spraying holes (101) and the second ceiling steam spraying holes (102), is effectively fed to the upper face side and the back side of a heating target (90), which is placed in the cooking space (20) at a spacing from the bottom face of the cooking space (20).
