An LED backlight unit is provided to minimize error due to temperature by adjusting brightness variation according to the temperature of LEDs(Light Emitting Diode) or ambient temperature of the LED backlight. An LED(Light-Emitting Diode) backlight unit includes LEDs(62,64,66), power supplying units(82,84,86), and brightness compensating units(72,74,76). The power supplying units supply driving power to the LEDs. The brightness compensating units, which are formed between the LEDs and power supplying units, control the driving power to be supplied to the LEDs by adjusting resistance based on temperature. In the brightness compensating units, the resistance decreases when the temperature increases and the resistance increases when the temperature decreases. |
